10th Mountain Descendants Armadillo Chapter Reunion
Plans are underway for our reunion (September 29-October 2, 2022) in Kansas City, MO and all members from other chapters are invited. With the realignment of the Descendant Chapters, we added Kansas and Missouri to our chapter that includes Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana.
Our Saturday night banquet on October 1st will be held with another Veteran descendants’ group, the 99TH Second (INDIANHEAD) Division Reunion (2ID Korea – 6/37 Arty 1966-1967) at the HILTON KANSAS CITY AIRPORT 9901 NW 112TH STREET KANSAS CITY, MO 64153. Their mission is much like ours to educate the next generations about what our veterans have accomplished in the past. This will be a great time to meet another Army veteran descendants’ group and share ideas between our groups.
We have blocked rooms for the weekend of September 29th – October 2nd at the Sheraton Suites Country Club Plaza, 770 W 47th Street, Kansas City, MO 64112. Chapter Director Karen LaNoue, will be sending out registration forms very soon. We will be visiting the WWI museum and memorial as a group on Saturday. Friday night we will have a group dinner and Saturday night will be our banquet and auction. There will be free time to visit the many attractions in Kansas City such as the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Toy and Miniature Museum, Sauer Castle, Hallmark Visitors Center, Crown Center (right by the hotel), Union Station, KC Amtrak Station, Belger Art Center, Byron Cohen Gallery, Negro Leagues Museum, American Jazz Museum, 18th & Vine Jazz District & Arthur Bryant’s BBQ, and more.
