COL Michael Coss (RET) served as an Army senior commander and trainer overseeing deployment and employment of Army and Joint forces before entering the business world. He served for over 8 years in the 10th Mountain Division as an Infantry Company Commander, Aide de Camp, Battalion and Brigade S3, Division G3, and the CJ3 in Afghanistan. He served as a Battalion and Brigade Commander, and Division Chief of Staff in Hawaii, Georgia and Korea. Mike is also responsible for implementing the Army's Soldier for Life program that leverages Army, government, and non-profit organizations to ensure transitioning service members receive the education, health care, and job opportunities they require. Mike has a passion for perpetuating the 10th Mountain Division’s story, including its impact on outdoor recreation.
