10th Mountain Division Hut Association

A network of 38 backcountry huts in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, connected by 350 miles of trails for skiing, hiking, and biking. Inspired by the 10th soldiers who trained at Camp Hale, these huts provide secure, comfortable shelter in stunning alpine settings. Whether seeking adventure or connection, visitors embrace the spirit of self-reliance and love of the outdoors that defines the 10th Mountain legacy.

10th Mountain Alpine Group

The 10th Mountain Alpine Group (10thMAG) fosters a passion for mountaineering and climbing while honoring the legacy of the 10th Mountain Division and its soldiers. Open to all skill levels, 10thMAG provides training, competitions, expeditions, and family-friendly events to help members sharpen their skills and connect with a community of mountain enthusiasts.

Platte River Veteran Fly Fishing

Platte Rivers Veterans Fly Fishing provides basic fly fishing, fly casting, fly tying and rod building classes as well as single and multi day trips for veterans. Participants are from all walks of life, all fishing abilities, and from all branches of the military.

NOLS National Outdoor Leadership School Career Transition with WFR

This 8 week course is designed specifically for working adults who are preparing for a career transition. Participants hike through canyons and paddle downriver, practicing making challenging decisions and accessing resources in a team, even without all the answers.

Giving Back Outdoors Veteran and Descendant Program

Giving Back Outdoors is dedicated to providing opportunities for veterans, youth, first responders, individuals with mobility issues and other underserved individuals through hunting, fishing, hiking, golfing, camping, gardening and a variety of other outdoor activities.

Huts for Vets

Huts for Vets offers wilderness therapy retreats for veterans and active-duty service members. Through guided hikes, group discussions, and community building, they support veterans on their healing journey and provide tools to help them transition to civilian life. The program’s unique nature-based approach empowers participants to cope with stress, strengthen connections, and renew their sense of purpose.

Stride Adaptive Sports Wounded Warrior Snowfest

A weekend of skiing, snowboarding, and camaraderie at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort for 15 post-9/11 disabled veterans and their families. Participants experience the healing power of outdoor adventure guided by alumni veteran mentors. STRIDE encourages warriors to continue their journey by serving as mentors or volunteers in adaptive sports programs throughout the year, fostering a community of resilience, empowerment, and giving back.

Move United Warfighters

Move United Warfighters offers sports rehabilitation for veterans and members of the Armed Services with physical disabilities. Since its inception by members of the 10th Mountain Division to serve injured Vietnam veterans, Move United Warfighters has proudly served more than 19,000 wounded warriors and their family members, including those injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, at no cost to the warfighter or family. Sports make us victorious, more resilient and stronger every day.

10th Mountain Hut Association Scholarship

The 10th Mountain Hut Association is pleased to offer this scholarship to CMC Leadville campus students. Applicants must have completed at least 24 credit hours toward a degree or certificate program while maintaining a minimum grade point average of 2.5 higher. Priority will be given to applicants pursuing an degree in science, natural resources, engineering, outdoor studies, and ski area operations. Both traditional and non-traditional students will be considered.
